A few things to note:
- We list the candidates / races where DWSOC has significant membership
- There is a section at the end of this email about how to find the district you reside in for every race and also a full list of ALL endorsements by the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC) and the California Democratic Party (CADEM).
- All candidates have been endorsed by the relevant Democratic Party, unless otherwise noted.
- Local City Council and School Board races do not take place until November and are therefore not on the March ballot. BUT, the Orange County Board of Education races are taking place in March. And they are won by the plurality vote getters in March - they do NOT go to a November run off.
- Vote on Day 1! That way the campaign knows you voted and will remove you from their GOTV/field targets. So no one will call you, knock on your door, text you etc. It frees them up to get lower propensity Democratic voters to turn in their ballots, which increases Democratic turnout.
- Remember to vote all the way down ballot.
- VERY IMPORTANT: On this Primary ballot, we will all also be voting by Assembly District for people to represent us at the Democratic Party of Orange County (Central Committee candidates). Towards the bottom of this Voter Guide you will find the various Assembly District "Slates," with an explanation of the importance of these positions!

CENTRAL COMMITTEE SLATES
AND THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING ON THEM!
AND THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING ON THEM!
What is the Central Committee?
The Central Committee is the governing body of the county Democratic Party. Consisting primarily of local volunteers, its members are elected every four years by registered Democrats in each assembly district. The Central Committee conducts the general business of the county party, approves its budget, elects its officers, and endorses local candidates for office.
Central Committee members significantly shape the direction and vision of our county Democratic Party, so that's why voting for Central Committee members really matters!
Your ballot will have your Assembly District Central Committee candidates listed and you may vote for up to SIX people.
