DWSOC Scholarships
As with the Class of 2020, local high school seniors have had their entire 2021 senior year now impacted by the COVID crisis and denied many of their traditional senior year experiences. At a time when other local political groups have again in 2021 backed out of their senior student scholarship programs, the Democratic Women of South Orange County (DWSOC) remains committed to supporting our local graduating high school seniors with its fourth annual Senior Student Scholarship Program.
DWSOC will be awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships to qualifying students from San Clemente High School, Dana Hills High School and San Juan Hills High School. All three High Schools have scheduled their Senior Awards Event, again virtually, for Thursday, May 20, 2021. Applications are now being accepted online through mid-April for the DWSOC 2021 Scholarship.
The Democratic Women of South Orange County works to elect local Democrats to office and is committed to social and economic equality, environmental protection, affordable healthcare, a high-quality public education and the promotion of a diverse culture. DWSOC is the largest Democratic Club in Orange County with 450 members and was the inaugural recipient of the Truman Award for “Outstanding Club of the Year” from the Democratic Party of Orange County in 2020.
